1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using LawSathi (“Service”), operated by LawSathi Technologies (“we,” “us,” “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old to use LawSathi.
- You must be a legal professional or authorized representative of a legal practice.
- By registering, you confirm that all information provided is accurate and complete.
3. Account Registration
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
- You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account.
- One person or entity may not maintain multiple accounts.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
4. Subscription and Payments
4.1 Plans and Pricing
- LawSathi offers Individual and Team subscription plans.
- Pricing is displayed on our website and within the application.
- All prices are in Indian Rupees (INR) and may be subject to applicable taxes (GST).
4.2 Free Trial
- New users receive a 15-day free trial with full feature access.
- No credit card is required to start the trial.
- After the trial, a paid subscription is required for continued access.
4.3 Billing and Renewal
- Subscriptions are billed on a monthly or annual basis.
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date.
- Payment is processed through Razorpay. By subscribing, you agree to Razorpay’s terms.
4.4 Refunds
- Subscription fees are generally non-refundable.
- Refund requests within 7 days of initial purchase may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

4.5 Cancellation
- You may cancel your subscription at any time through account settings.
- Access continues until the end of the current billing period.
- No partial refunds for early cancellation.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree NOT to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or systems
- Scrape, copy, or redistribute Service content without permission
- Resell or sublicense the Service to third parties
- Use the Service in a manner that could damage, disable, or impair our infrastructure
- Violate any applicable laws or professional ethics rules
6. AI Features Disclaimer

LawSathi’s AI features (Research Sathi, Argument Generation, Document Analysis) are assistive tools only and:
- Do not constitute legal advice
- May contain errors, inaccuracies, or outdated information
- Must be reviewed and verified by qualified legal professionals
- Should not be relied upon as the sole basis for legal decisions
6.2 Professional Responsibility
- You retain full professional responsibility for all legal work
- AI-generated content should be treated as a draft requiring review
- Citation accuracy must be independently verified
- We are not liable for decisions made based on AI outputs
6.3 AI Limitations
- AI models have knowledge cutoff dates and may not reflect recent legal developments
- Complex legal analysis may require human expertise beyond AI capabilities
- AI cannot understand the full context of client-specific situations
7. eCourt Integration
7.1 Third-Party Service
- eCourt data is retrieved from India’s official eCourt Services portal.
- We are not responsible for accuracy, completeness, or availability of eCourt data.
- eCourt features depend on the availability of government systems.
7.2 Data Accuracy
- Case information displayed is as retrieved from eCourt; verify critical details independently.
- Hearing dates and case status should be confirmed through official court sources.
8. User Content and Intellectual Property
8.1 Your Content
- You retain ownership of all content you create or upload (documents, cases, client data).
- By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your content as necessary to provide the Service.
- We do not claim ownership of your documents or client information.
8.2 Our Content
- LawSathi’s software, design, branding, and templates are our intellectual property.
- Templates provided are for use within the Service and may not be redistributed.
- You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works from our software.
8.3 Feedback
- Any feedback, suggestions, or ideas you provide may be used by us without obligation.
9. Confidentiality
- We treat your legal documents, client information, and case data as confidential.
- We respect attorney-client privilege and do not access privileged content.

10. Service Availability
10.1 Uptime
- We strive to maintain 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted access.
- Scheduled maintenance will be announced in advance when possible.

11. Limitation of Liability

- eCourt data errors or unavailability
- Missed deadlines due to technical issues
- Actions taken based on Service outputs
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless LawSathi Technologies, its officers, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:
- Your use of the Service
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any third-party rights
- Content you upload or create
13. Termination
13.1 By You
- You may terminate your account at any time by contacting support or through account settings.
- Request data export before termination.
13.2 By Us
We may suspend or terminate your account if you:
- Violate these Terms of Service
- Fail to pay subscription fees
- Engage in fraudulent or illegal activity
- Abuse or misuse the Service
